The technological youth revolution at the table of  the fourth edition's activities of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership

The third day events of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership kicked off in its fourth edition with a dialogue session entitled "The Technological Youth Revolution", in the presence of Hassan Ghazaly, General Coordinator of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, and a group of the Ministry of Youth and Sports leaders, hosts and journalists.

The dialogue session hosted representatives of the youth leaders participating in the fourth edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership from Tanzania and Pakistan. It was moderated by Salma Tawfiq, one of the participants in the fellowship from Egypt, who stressed the importance of social media while being cautious when using modern technological means and social media in everything you see or read, in addition to verifying the credibility because there is a lot of confusion, deception and incorrect information.

For his part, Tanzanian Venance Majula affirmed at the beginning of his speech that the new media and social media means have given youth new ways to express themselves away from using traditional means. They now have a way to express their voices without relying on previous traditional tools, which made it easier to express ideas, opinions, ask questions and constructive criticism regarding cases of corruption and different problems. He pointed out that this generation has been provided with everything in terms of technological development and technology. For example, we find that all attendees at the fellowship have accounts on social media and have social networks with many social media platforms and websites. He emphasized that youth today need to have that self-technology and accounts on social media platforms as this is the platform to express their opinions and a space to express themselves. These platforms can also be used to mobilize themselves and create the change they seek. He stressed the need for youth at times to speak with elders, express their opinions, ideas and suggestions, adding that technology can have positive effects by spreading correct information, in addition to the need to use technology in the right way, as it also has negative effects realized by spreading incorrect and false information and misleading that may make us lose many people.

Hamad Kakar from Pakistan spoke at the beginning of his speech during the dialogue session about his work in the Islamic Youth Organization, which operates in 28 countries in the field of combating fear of Islam or what is known as Islamophobia. He then presented excerpts from his work, meetings and multiple trips within the framework of communication and work through the organization, explaining that the media has an extremely important role. We do not find any office, diplomat or embassy that don't deal with the media; however, with that development of artificial intelligence, technology and social media, we see incorrect and misleading information. Therefore, it is very important that there should be basic rules for browsing the Internet, as we may see fake videos of some people. Moreover, anyone can sit in their room and design videos for things that never happened. Therefore, there must be awareness in the use of social media and how to use it correctly away from falsification.

The participants in the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership posed a number of questions, inquiries and interventions after the end of the young speakers' speeches in the session held at the opening of the morning events of Saturday from the fellowship. Then the participants in the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership took souvenir photos amid great interaction, joy and happiness from everyone in this session and the important information and experiences they learned about.
