President Gamal Abdel Nasser’s visit to Sudan in 1967

On August 29, 1967, the Arab leaders were on a date with the fourth summit of the League of Arab States, which was held in Sudan and known as the Three No Summit (no reconciliation, no recognition, no negotiation with Israel), once President Jamal Abdel-Nasser's plane settled at Khartoum airport, millions of Sudanese people received him in an unprecedented legendary reception chanting the lives of Abdel-Nasser, the lives of Arab solidarity and Arab unity, the crowds continued behind Abdel Nasser until they brought him to the hotel where he was staying. This great reception was a sincere expression of the deep unity that united the people of the Nile Valley.

The resolutions of the Arab Summit reaffirmed the unity of the Arab ranks, resolving all flaws and adhering to the Arab Solidarity Charter, and intensifying efforts to eliminate the consequences of aggression and achieve the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the region, on the basis that the occupied territories are Arab lands, the burden of recovering them falls on all Arab countries, within the scope of the basic principles of the summit, which are; no reconciliation with Israel, recognition of it, or solidarity with it.

During one of the conference sessions, President Abdel Nasser gave a comprehensive presentation of the Arab position in which he said: “We have no choice but to resist, and we have no other way because it is the way of life".

Abdel Nasser also described the Sudanese people’s reception of him as deepening his hope and the future he dreams of for the Arab nation, he praised this chivalrous and noble stance of the fraternal brothers in Sudan, which came as the most eloquent response to the attempts of the hostile forces to impose surrender and spread despair in the souls.
