Egypt Vision 2030
Launched in February 2016, Egypt Vision is a national agenda consisting of sectoral strategies for various government agencies in Egypt to govern the State institutions and society through consolidating transparency, administrative reform and support for monitoring and evaluation systems, to ensure Egyptian peace and security and achieve comprehensive development.
Egypt Vision 2030 mainly focuses on improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen and improving their standard of living in various aspects of life by ensuring the consolidation of the principles of justice, social inclusion, and the participation of all citizens in political and social life, enhancing investment in human beings and building their creativity by promoting increased knowledge, innovation, and scientific research in all areas.
Egypt Vision 2030 also reflects Egypt’s long-term strategic plan to achieve the sustainable development principles and objectives in all area.
Egypt Vision is based on the principles of "comprehensive sustainable development" and "balanced regional development". As a comprehensive and coherent vision, Egypt had engaged stakeholders from development partners to keep pace of changes in the local, regional, and global context.
Egypt Vision is keen to become an inspiring vision that explains how the Egyptian contribution will serve the international agenda and that global context. The Vision also focuses on addressing and overlap of all issues are addressed and intertwined from the perspective of the three dimensions of sustainable development: environmental, economic, and social.
Egypt seeks to promote knowledge, innovation, and scientific research as fundamental pillars of development, as referred to in Objective 4 of Egypt vision 2030. This latter focuses on the importance of investing in human beings, building their creativity, stimulating, and spreading the culture of innovation, supporting, and linking scientific research to education and development. This is mainly what the Nasser Leadership Fellowship seeks to achieve.
