Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo hosts alumni of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership

Ambassador Sajid Bilal, Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, hosted Asim Babar, Zurmina Nayyar and Vibha Framin, participants in the activities of the third edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, which was held under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, with the participation of 150 young leaders from non-aligned countries and friendly countries, during the period from May 31 to June 17 2022 at the Engineering Authority House in Cairo.

The meeting dealt with introducing Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, in its third edition, discussing how to activate and stimulate bilateral cooperation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Pakistan in the field of youth, and discussing activities and programs that can be implemented during the coming period.

In his speech to the Pakistani youth leaders, Ambassador Majid Bilal pointed out that such vital exchanges enhance opportunities for communication and strengthen relations between the peoples of the two countries. He also commended the role of young leaders in establishing close relations between Pakistan and Egypt through such programs.

Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership aims to transfer the ancient Egyptian experience in consolidating and building national institutions, as well as creating a generation of young leaders from non-aligned countries with a vision in line with the South-South partnership, and raising awareness of the role of the Non-Aligned Movement historically and its role in the future, in addition to activating the role of the youth network of member states of the Non-aligned Movement NYM, and networking the most influential young leaders at the level of non-aligned countries and friendly countries.

Moreover, it aims at giving an equal opportunity to both genders, as indicated by the fifth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, youth are also given the opportunity to mingle with each other and make partnerships in various fields, not only at the continental level, but also at the global level, as indicated by the seventeenth goal of Sustainable Goals.
