I am delighted to have the opportunity to welcome the Arab delegations attending the Lawyers’ Conference. It also provides me with great pleasure to see how Arab countries inspire one another through their shared spirit of struggle and determination. The history of our struggle does not belong to one nation alone; it is a continuous journey that has passed from one Arab country to another. We also draw strength from you and we deeply value your support for our great causes, which are your causes.
I hope that this conference, which brings together the aspirations of Arab nationalism, will serve as a powerful force in strengthening that spirit and elevating its standing. I also hope that it will reinforce the bonds of solidarity among the peoples of all our Arab countries.
I am equally pleased that this conference will continue to work towards achieving the noble goal that Arab nationalism has always pursued throughout the region: forging an unbreakable bond among this one nation, a bond that many forces have sought to weaken but which will never be broken.
I feel that I am among my brothers and my people, for you are not strangers to us. I believe you have felt the same, and I am confident that throughout your stay with us you will continue to feel at home, surrounded by your brothers and your people.
