Mahmoud Labib, the active student, the graduate of Nasser Fellowship of International Leadership, and Secretary of regional committee in Nasser Youth Movement won the highly competitive elections of Suhag University School of Medicine Students’ Union which took place between November 24th and December 7th, 2022.

Mahmoud Labib’s biography has been remarkable since his childhood. Despite being young, his biography is full of many accomplishments that made great impact among student circles. It is not an exaggeration to say that it started since primary schooling levels. Among these accomplishments is winning the fourth place of the Ideal Student Competition in the republic in 2015, then being elected as the Secretary of Suhag STEM Students’ Union in 2016, and then on Asyut Governorate level in 2017. He volunteered as a facilitator on the education camps organized by Microsoft and B. TECH in 2018. He was later chosen to be president of the Public Relations Affairs Committee of the Tahya Misr Fund in Giza in 2021, then as the assistant secretary of Scientific Committee of Suhag University School of Medicine Students’ Union in 2022. In March 2022, he was commissioned as a coordinator for the South Africa region in the Nasser Youth Movement, as well as holding office as the Deputy Coordinator of Scientific Research Camp and EBM. He also participated in the second forum of the "Students for Egypt Sake Initiative" of Egyptian universities in Alexandria in 2022.

For his part, Hassan Ghazaly, founder of the Nasser Youth Movement, expressed his pride in the trust “Labib” enjoys among the student community, saying, "From the very beginning, I touched closely the features of a promising leader and a visionary organic intellectual. a young man who doesn’t care about being famous, who looks out for his colleagues trying to help them as a link between them and the university's decision makers. as well as having a broad perspective which appeared during several discussions, he co-moderated in the Nasser Youth Movement, which led me to assign him to the Secretary of regional committee  in Nasser Youth Movement, amounting to nine regions on five continents reaching around 65 countries around the world " while stressing his confidence in Labib’s ability to make a real change inside the union spurred by the Students’ Unions role in making decisions within the corridors of university.

It is noteworthy that Labib has graduated from the second cadet of Nasser Fellowship of International Leadership, held in June 2021, with 120 young leaders from 53 countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America, during which he participated as moderator in the presence of Ambassador Sheriff Isa, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs for Africa, and Ambassador Amal Abdelkader, Assistant Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs for Asian Affairs, under the auspices of President Abdelfattah al-Sisi. As part of investing in the most influential and distinguished youth potential of the graduates of the fellowship, he was selected as part of the Nasser scholarship team in its third edition under the auspices of President Abdelfattah al-Sisi for the second time in a row under the theme "Non-aligned youth and South cooperation".
