Nasser International Forum Launches Virtual Pre-Training Program for the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership in Partnership with Global Solidarity Talks

The Nasser International Forum has announced the launch of the virtual pre-training program for the fifth edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, which will take place in May under the theme "Egypt and the United Nations: 80 Years Representing the Issues of the Global South." The program is held under the kind patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the participation of approximately 150 young male and female leaders from various countries around the world, representing diverse executive specializations, alongside a number of influential and active youth in their communities.
In this context, the anthropological researcher Hassan Ghazaly, founder of the Nasser International Forum, stated that this virtual pre-training program will be held from May 1st to 8th, 2025, in cooperation with the United Nations and the Global Solidarity Talks initiative. He explained that the aim of this program is to introduce participants to the role of UN institutions and agencies in supporting and empowering youth, in addition to building the capacities of global young leaders, particularly in understanding the issues of the Global South. This aims to enhance their ability to influence and work towards positive change in their societies, as well as promote intercultural dialogue and expand international networking among youth from different countries, in order to create shared visions for development and justice issues, thereby supporting understanding and cooperation among youth at the international level.
The founder of the Nasser International Forum added that this virtual pre-training program for the fifth edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership includes a number of diverse themes, including interactive training sessions with experts and specialists, specialized workshops on the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as direct dialogues with representatives of international organizations. The goal is to open effective channels for knowledge exchange and build global youth partnerships. He clarified that this program serves as a fundamental preparatory step preceding the launch of the fifth edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, which has become a prominent platform for qualifying and highlighting young cadres from around the world and enhancing their roles in shaping the future and making change.
It is worth mentioning that the first batch of the Nasser Leadership Fellowship was implemented in June 2019 under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, in continuation of the Egyptian state's efforts to enhance the role of African youth through training, qualification, and empowerment in various leadership positions, and the Egyptian state's role in qualifying and empowering African youth. This aligns with President El-Sisi's call to implement the African Union's 2021 initiative to prepare one million young people for leadership, which was launched during the activities of the second (2018) and third (2019) editions of the World Youth Forum. The second, third, and fourth editions of the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship were also implemented in June of 2021, 2022, and 2023 under the kind patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
