The African Youth Bureau

The African Youth Bureau

The African Youth Bureau is part of a large institutional entity with great expertise and contributions to strengthen the role of youth at the national, regional, and international levels. It is a supportive partner for Egypt as well as national state institutions, in promoting cooperation and friendly relations between Egypt and other countries, particularly those on the African continent.

The African Youth Bureau was established as an independent youth initiative in 2011 that operated freely. After the 30 June Revolution of 2013, the project founder Hassan Razali submitted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports to include the youth of the state institutions within the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, in a highly sensitive time in February 2014, with the aim of developing African relations through youth by building partnerships and implementing programs around the continent with national youth institutions as well as the African Union. All these efforts are to consolidate the African values established by the founding fathers of the Organization of African Unity in 1960, which were endorsed in Africa's Agenda 2063. The Office was accredited as a focal point in July 2014 by the African Union's Commission on Human Resources, Science and Technology(UNODC).

The Bureau works to empower African youth inside and outside Egypt at all levels by developing African concepts founded by the African Union through knowledge exchange and capacity-building programs to become a dynamic and influential force on the global scene. All that takes us one step closer to Africa we want. This is based on Egypt's vision of 2030 at the national level and Africa's 2063 agenda at the continental level and sustainable development goals for 2030 at the global level.
